About the Haunted Barn

The Haunted Barn is a seasonal haunted house attraction in Winfield WV founded in 2003 by Lee Jordan and Josh Harper. The Haunted Barn was initially built for friends and family as a way to enjoy the Halloween season. In 2006 due to increasing popularity The Haunted Barn was opened to the public. Since then The Haunted Barn has enjoyed great success and has grown to include many animated props as well as live actors.

Since being opened to the public The Haunted Barn has been very public service orented. The Haunted Barn runs a canned food drive every evening it is open and a portion of it's proceeds are given to the actors (who are mostly dancers at Lee's Studio Of Dance as a fund raiser for the compitition dance team.

Q: When do you open?
A: The hauntings begin at or around sunset. See the main page for dates in October

Q: Is it scary?
A: Yes we strongly advise any one with a heart condition or other medical conditions that could be set off by high levels of fear to stay home.

Q: I am in a wheel chair or other wise disabled will I be able to go through?
A: Our attraction may require participants to use stairs, duck, and/or crawl you may not be able to enjoy the full experence of the barn, individuals in a wheel chair or having other physical disabilities may not be able to make it through the attraction however we will do our best to accomidate out guests the best we can.

Q: Will I get dirty?
A: Yes this is a real horse barn with a dirt floor.

Q: Can the actors touch me?
A: Yes, you have been warned!

A: The Barn is on old Rt 35 in Winfield accross from Shawnee Estates. To find us just listen for the screams...or check the map here.
